Self Employed – Lincoln, NE, February 2001 – Current
  • Developed demo web application written in JSP/Servlet/Javabeans utilizing MySQL accomplishing the goal of trying different coding techniques and keeping technically current.
  • Designed and developing eCommerce site using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL under a W2Kpro/Apache environment. Incorporates security logon, credit card verification and processing and auto emailing.
  • Performed database design and administration, LAN setup and administration, and web server setup and support.
  • Installed, configured and maintained a Mail Server and a FTP server for my primary use utilizing Argo Software.

Senior Software Developer

Experian – Lincoln, NE, October 2000 – November 2008
Responsible for multiple projects simultaneously, both solving problems and writing code.
  • (2004-current) Provide primary technical and application support and enhancement of our pcDS and RTM web services. RTM system consists of over 75 classes and 30 Oracle Tables. pcDS system consists of 30 classes with JSP administration panels. Both are written in Java EE / Oracle and run on several Linux or Sun Solaris servers.
  • (2003-2004) Part of a team to redesign and implement a web application from an ASP/Oracle environment to a JSP/Oracle/Crystal Reports environment. Responsibility includes being the sole Technical Support of the JBOSS/Apache/Jakarta JSP server environments under Windows 2000, as well as coding in JSP utilizing Javabeans, Servlets and Tag Libraries (standard and custom).
  • (2002-2005) Helps Design, Codes and tests enhancements and problems resolution to the Corporate Workflow Fulfillment System utilizing JSP / Javabeans / Servlets, aspNET, C, C#, ISPF and DB2.
  • (2000-2001) Sole support person for their primary marketing/name selection system. Highly complicated system written in Cobol / CICS / Assembler and consisting over 100 programs and 50 maps (panels).
  • Maintained compliance standards meeting or exceeding industry and government guidelines.
    • Significant Accomplishments:
    • (2007-2008) Provided primary technical and administrative oversight in the highly visible project for moving the RTM application from the Tomcat servers to jBoss servers. Project was highly successful with nearly a seamless (5 minute downtime) experienced by the customers.
    • Provided custom client programming in the RTM system which was always was on time and less than budgeted amounts.

Performed Consulting and Contract Programmer tasks for several clients in the Lincoln, Omaha and Des Moines Areas in a 12 year period. High Client Satisfaction and high Client personal request rate. Clients and Projects highpoints include but not limited to the following.

Cable Services Group – Omaha, NE, 1990 – 2000

Was placed and requested specifically requested on 3 separate occasions by Cable Services Management.
  • Analyzed efficiency and functionality of high volume programs for their PC invoicing display system, which would create invoice, display files on CD-ROMs. Programs are written in Cobol II and performed AFP functions. Results were a reduction of 75 percent CPU times and reduction of up to 50 percent output file sizes.
  • Designed and developed in 'C' a Cable Controller emulator.
First National Bank of Omaha – Omaha, NE, 1997 – 2000
  • Orovided the analysis, program modifications and testing for major changes to their credit card processing system. Changes included adding multiple bank and Year 2000 support to the system. System was written in Cobol, CICS and Batch Assembler.
City of Lincoln – Lincoln, NE, 1994 – 1994
  • Designed, tested and programmed system which loaded the monthly CPU, disk, CICS, printer, TSO and AS400 utilization to DB2 tables for statistical analysis to provide input for Administrative decision.
First Data Resources – Omaha, NE, 1988 – 1993
  • Modernized the product control file (PCF) file from being a flat file to a database of a system written in Cobol II / CICS / DB2.
Peter Kewitt – Omaha, NE, 1989 – 1990
  • Developed and tested interface programs between their newly installed Tesaract Payroll System and their current General Ledger System. Required use of DB2 and Cobol.
